Growing up I was a major tomboy. I disliked everything girly (except the cheetah girls) and only wanted to do “cool” things with my brothers and dad. Because I was a tomboy, I felt like I couldn’t express myself in a feminine way and that included painting my nails.
Back in 2020 I started taking a big interest in painting my nails despite working at a job that left me stained with oil, dirt, and dust at the end of every day. As my interest grew I tried to expand my technique in efficiency, design, and new looks. Little did I know, I ended up becoming the girl who hated when she chipped a nail! Nails became not only a hobby for me, but an outlet, and a passion.
“…I felt like I couldn’t express myself in a feminine way and that included painting my nails.”
I ended up taking my interest beyond painting my own nails and started creating my own nail polishes. This helped me expand my knowledge and understanding of nails and appreciate the process so much more.
I am writing this blog to help inspire people from all walks of life to be able to express themselves through the art of nails. Despite how you identify and if you are a tomboy like I was, there are nail inspirations for everyone.
